OpenStack Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a remote OpenStack Engineer to join a U.S. based distributed engineering team that can deliver market-leading software solutions.

• Adhere to agile development best practice
• Demonstrate a passion for learning and building cutting-edge applications
• Implement unit tests using test driven development (TDD)
• Implement and refactor using relevant design patterns
• Mentor other engineers
• Proactively learn and implement new best practices
• Manage expectations by communicating regularly
• Code review pull requests in a CI / CD environment
• Review requirements and provide input
• Collaborate with the engineering team to suggest, design and launch new features
• Maintain code integrity and organization

Job Requirements

• Experience in the programming and configuration of OpenStack
• Experience in optimization and debugging of complex OpenStack environments
• Knowledge of OpenStack components such as Heat, Horizon, Nova, Neutron and Keystone
• Knowledge of Kubernetes
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with GitLab CI or equivalent (e.g. Github Actions, CircleCI, Travis CI)

Candidates must have excellent English communication skills and previous experience with North American software companies.
